After you create a Receiving Order (RO) you can arrange for your products to be sent to Spaceship’s Fulfilment Centre (FC), we are ready to receive your inventory.
The Receiving Order has the following status:
- In transit: RO has been created but has yet to arrive at Spaceship’s FC
- Arrived: Your products have arrived, and we have completed the receiving process
- Closed: The inbound process of your incoming products has been completed and the products are now available for fulfillment.
- For under-received RO: Closed (Under Received)
- For over-received RO: Closed (Over Received)
- Cancelled: The RO has been cancelled
- On-Hold: There are issues with your RO and the inbound process has been put on hold
For each SKU, the products to be received have the following status:
- Received: Quantity received tallies with the RO
- Under Received: Quantity received is less than the RO
- Over Received: Quantity received is more than the RO
When your inventory arrives at Spaceship's FC, we are ready to receive your inventory following our standard operating procedures. These standard operations are what Spaceship does for all our users.
Physical Receiving:
When your inventory arrives at Spaceship’s FC, your transporter will unload your products and we will receive them at one of our docking bays.
If you require us to do the unloading, ensure that this is indicated in your RO. Unloading service fees apply.
For floor-loaded shipments, the unloaded products will be placed on pallets to facilitate the movement into the FC.
If you are shipping more than 50 cases, your shipment must be palletized.
If you are shipping palletized inventory to us, your pallets must have the following standard dimensions:
- Length & width: 120cm x 80cm or 120cm x 100cm
- Max Height: 150cm
- Max weight: 500kg
Any non-compliant shipment may result in your inventory having to be repalletized, and/or a delay in receiving and inbound process (and as a result, a delay to when your products will be available for fulfilment).
Our standard receiving hours (business days only) are:
- Monday-Friday: 9am to 3pm
Cursory Inspection
After receiving your inbound shipment, a cursory inspection will be conducted for any obvious damage on a pallet / case level (e.g. leaking product).
Pallet / Outer Case Tallying
Your inbound items will be tallied on a pallet / case level against the shipment packing list, using the labels on each pallet / case.
If your pallet / case is unlabelled, or if your shipment packing list is based on items instead of cases / pallets, or if the labels are not clearly visible, tallying against the shipment packing list will be skipped.
Staging for Inbound
Your RO will be updated to Arrived status and your products will be shifted to a staging area to await the inbound process.
