Prohibited Items & Unacceptable Item Conditions

Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited from being stored at Spaceship’s storage facilities, and must be excluded from the move and/or storage:

• Drugs or drug paraphernalia, stolen or illegal items
• Firearms, explosives, flammables (including alcohol), and any other hazardous items
• High-value items including antiques, works of art, paintings, watches, jewelry, valuable and important documents, currency, cash, store value cards, hard drives, certificates, travel documents
• Any item that may cause the growth of microorganisms
• Living things and perishable items including plants, food, etc

Unacceptable Item Conditions

If Spaceship deems your items to not be in an acceptable condition to be handled or stored, your items will be rejected from Storage. Here are some examples:

• Fragile items, including but not limited to, glass cabinets, mirrors, chandeliers, and furniture with delicate parts, must be packed with extra protective wrapping (e.g. bubble wrap with an outer hardboard)
• Small items that can fit into Spaceship’s standard cartons (60*40*34cm) must be packed into cartons and will not be accepted in a loose form
• Items such as fridges and kitchenware must be cleaned before being stored at Spaceship’s storage facility.
• Cabinets, wardrobes, drawers, etc that still contain items inside are unsafe for handling and storage. Ensure all contents inside are emptied and loose items are packed into cartons.

Penalties

If you store any prohibited items or items not deemed by Spaceship to be in an acceptable condition to be stored, a penalty starting from $200 (before GST) will be billed.

Additionally, your items will be removed from Spaceship’s storage facility. You’ll have 2 days to arrange for your items to be shifted out,  failing which we will proceed with disposal, at your expense.
